Bean Bag Bazaar Wins Best Practice Internet Retail Award

The Bazaar Group has once again scooped the Internet & ICT Award in the prestigious North East Business Awards 2010. The Bazaar Group was chosen by the judges as their website, Bean Bag Bazaar, demonstrated best practice in website design which has had a significant impact on the overall success of the business. The company received the award in the regional heats of the North East Business Awards 2010 at a black-tie ceremony last week.

One of the key criteria in the Internet & ICT Award was an attractive, easily navigable website that demonstrated intuitive interactivity. The new BeanBagBazaar website, BeanBagBazaar.co.uk, only launched in September last year, was specifically built to follow key best practice e-commerce trends, and the proprietors of the site are delighted that their investment has paid off. “The new site is colourful, easy to use and most importantly, has significantly improved conversion rates in comparison to our old website. This has had a big impact on our bottom line and we are delighted to have all our hard work confirmed by this award,” said Mark Dolder, the Managing Director of the Bazaar Group.

The Bazaar Group was against stiff competition this year, and the judges were said to be impressed by the significant step change the company had made since they won the award two years ago. Not only has the business invested in their website, but has also made in-roads into other areas of online marketing, including social networking, video technology and email marketing.

Now with the Tyneside & Northumberland regional heat under their belt, the Bazaar Group is looking forward to the next round of the competition to hopefully become the overall Internet & ICT Category winner for the North East Business Awards. Watch this space on 14 April 2011!
