SGS to Host Webinar on the Detection of Hot Hydrogen Attack (HHA)
SGS is delighted to invite to attend a free 60 minute webinar on how to identify and monitor a Hot Hydrogen Attack (HHA).Hot Hydrogen Attack (HHA) is degradation caused by the reaction of hydrogen with carbon, forming methane (CH4). Operational factors such as temperature and hydrogen pressure affect the occurrence of HHA which in turn can lead to extensive damage in industrial plants, particularly fertilizer plants and refineries.
SGS (www.sgs.com/industrial) is delighted to offer a globally available and free webinar on Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques for the identification and monitoring of a HHA. In an hour long session the webinar will detail how to identify the material degradation of HHA and its differences to hydrogen induced cracking. In addition, Norbert Trimborn, the Strategic Business Leader for Advanced NDT at SGS, will detail the reasons for the worldwide Hot Hydrogen Attack problem and related SGS techniques for the inspection of parent material. The SGS’s inspection approach to welding and heat affected zones and the relation between the inspection result and real damage will be topics of the webinar.
SGS has a variety of highly advanced and proven techniques for the prevention and detection of Hot Hydrogen Attack (http://www.sgs.com/hot-hydrogen-attack?serviceId=10149586&lobId=5550). These include Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD), Automated Backscatter and Velocity Ratio Measurements.
With the SGS approach to inspection, you can be certain of the presence or absence of HHA and any attack is guaranteed to be detected at an early stage, with support also provided for the monitoring of an attack’s progress. SGS can help when HHA is detected and its approach to the detection of HHA has more than twenty-five years’ worth of proven reliability and reproducibility.
In addition, the use of Non-Destructive Testing (http://www.sgs.com/non-destructive_testing?serviceId=10061644&lobId=5550) ensures that the examination of an industrial site is non-intrusive, ensuring that time and cost savings are made.

No time for sport? The right time management is important
"I just don’t have time to exercise." Many people have a tight schedule every day: work, shopping, household, meet with friends, spending time with the family and eventually have some rest for themselves. In contrast to television, computer or telephone, sport isn’t…

But many companies fail to keep accompanying product information on pace with the product launch, often it’s because corporate-level information must be localized to different countries, in different languages, and for different cultures. Being on time with product information and making it available in all channels—all while simultaneously maintaining content quality--can be…
