DEFIANT OF HUMAN PREDICTABILITY: An exhibition of works by InSoon Felch

03-08-2011 08:41 AM CET | Arts & Culture

Press release from: Red Gate Gallery

InSoon Felch's work encapsulates the organic associated with painting, allowing the pieces to convey an emotional message. Felch’s unorthodox style brings the elements of ‘Technological meets traditional’ in which she freely expresses her lust for technological art, without suppressing her natural passion for painting.
Felch regards the computer as a tool adopting its graphical nature to apply a modern twist whilst pushing the boundaries of traditional mediums. Through her process she creatively manipulates the two mediums as extensions of the visual language.

In her creative expression Felch feels that by going beyond the confines of the traditional four borders of a computer screen or canvas, she frees herself from the circumscribed space allowing the expansion of her imagination to manifest beyond the four borders.

It seems Felch answers to her own emotional message through the final outcomes of her paradoxical methods, in order to formulate a visual language that should not be judged, yet appreciated for its inherent aesthetics.
