RTP CFO Forum to Discuss Internal Control Best Practices
RALEIGH, N.C. (March 2, 2011) — The RTP CFO Forum (rtpcfos.com) will hold its monthly meeting on Friday, March 4, 2011. The organization serves as a peer-to-peer networking and discussion opportunity for more than 200 senior financial executives in the Triangle area. The meeting will focus on Internal Control Best Practices.Mark Bond, owner and consultant at ATRS Consulting, Inc. (www.atrsconsulting.com), and Walt Parrish, owner and consultant at ITAR, LLC, will speak to the group about internal control best practices that could help prevent fraud and improve the quality and reliability of a company’s financial statements. Bond and Parrish are 15-year audit and consulting veterans who previously worked together at Deloitte & Touche.

•Limitations of internal controls
•Statistics on fraudulent activity
•Entity-level, process-level and IT controls considered best practices
