Hartmann will add 20,000 sq. ft. to an existing facility in Rolla, bringing its total square footage to 354,000 sq. ft. and representing the initial steps that will soon create dozens of new jobs in the area. The Rolla facility will produce sustainably-made, molded-fiber egg cartons for the U.S. market. Cartons will be made of 100 percent recycled newspaper sourced from the Midwest and distributed nationally.

September, 2016– James Cropper Plc has launched a new renewable and recyclable molded fiber product said to be a sustainable alternative to plastic. James Cropper is a producer of premium paper and packaging products, specializing in precise color matching. The group’s new business, James Cropper 3D Products, has developed a custom, design-engineered, molded paper packaging product made from entirely renewable materials that can be recycled with household paper.

Huhtamaki changed the name of its Molded Fiber business segment to Fiber Packaging. The new name is taken into use as of April 27, 2017.
