President’s Day Contest Inspires Impressive Videos
Winner’s mental feat symbolic of a better life

Colorado Springs, CO – A nationwide video contest launched by LearningRx has inspired a slew of impressive videos of kids reciting the presidents from memory while hitting baseballs, doing gymnastics, and ignoring obnoxious distractions. Winning videos from the President's Day video contest, conceptualized by the brain training company, are available at:

Eleven-year-old Travis Coron of Succasunna, NJ won an iPad in this year’s national President’s Day contest with a 31-second clip that demonstrates intense concentration, memory and multitasking skills. The 6th grader, who attended the Chester, New Jersey LearningRx brain training center, quickly recited all 44 U.S. presidents while performing a complicated cup-stacking pattern and blocking out major distractions. Travis's video can be viewed at:

“The video is great,” says LearningRx Vice President of Research and Development Tanya Mitchell. “It demonstrates the power of cognitive skills training and leaves people saying, ‘How does he do that?’”

The contest is designed to encourage kids across the country to create videos that demonstrate the improved memory and attention skills they were able to achieve because of LearningRx brain training. Memorizing the presidents is one of the first things students master.

"It quickly strengthens long-term memory, attention and other cognitive skills, and it also gives a big boost of self-confidence,” says Mitchell. “It's just one of the ways our brain training helps build smarter, faster and more efficient brains.”

Travis’s parents took him to LearningRx in Chester, NJ when school struggles increased and a child psychologist recommended medication. "This brain training has transformed him,” says Travis’s mother, Tammy Coron. “He’s doing so much better now, and not just academically. He has more confidence. His whole attitude is better. Before, we would spend three hours at the table bickering – trying to get him to do one math problem, and now he just does it on his own. Brain training is giving him the mental tools he needs to learn and succeed and have a better life. What a godsend.”
