"Branding yourself in Hollywood" panel time changed to 12 Noon (this Saturday)
San Diego Black Film Festival
"Branding yourself in Hollywood" will include panelists Charles Belk (Chief Branding Officer / Producer - I Will Make You A Star Productions, LLC), Charmaine Blake (Celebrity Publicist - Charmaine PR Firm), Matt Cherry (Former NFL Player / Film Director - Transparent Filmworks) and Jerrold Thompson (Head of A&R - Manta Entertainment). The panel will be moderated by Tanya Kersey (Hollywood Career Strategist and Founder - Hollywood Black Film Festival).
The panel session will be held at 12pm, Saturday, January 29, 2011, at the Westfield Horton Plaza mall, located at 4th & E Street and Broadway & 4th Avenue in downtown San Diego, CA. The SDBFF Pavilion is located on the second level in the old Robinsons-May building, above Sam Good. Attendees of the panel will hear tips and tactics on how to successfully brand yourself in Hollywood by industry experts and those that have been successful in building their brands. All panels are open to the public with any film screening ticket or credential. (A "Breaking into Hollywood 101" panel will be held at 11am.)
The San Diego Black Film Festival was established in 2004 and is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of African American and African Diaspora cinema as well as the education of media arts. Held each year in late January, the SDBFF is one of the largest black film festivals in the country.
