Biggest Loser – “New Year, New You” Event Moved to Spring, 2011
Southfield, MI – BL Productions INC, the architects behind the largest gathering of previous contestants of NBC’s hit reality show “The Biggest Loser,” has announced that the event originally scheduled for early January 2011, has been moved to an early spring date in Late March or an early fall date in September.The “New Year, New You” Retreat with The Biggest Losers, which will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, is the first of several events where fans of the show, are given the opportunity to learn the weight loss secrets from the best teachers in world –the contestants who’ve been on the show and lost massive amounts of weight themselves. “This a massive change from other events, as most of the time you have some skinny little trainer that looks like they could hoola hoop with a Cheerio, and never seen a fat day in their life telling you how easy it is to lose weight,” said an event spokesman, “and you think to yourself, ‘what the heck does she know about being fat?’”
The date change was due to overwhelming demand made by the fans of the show that wanted to attend the event, but had been hit hard with the slumping economy and the holidays being so close to the event in January.
“While the event is monumental and all the contestants who’ve signed on to be at the event were enthused about tremendous opportunity this offers even casual fans of the show to learn, interact and party with former contestants from the show, most were a little saddened about missing out on the opportunities to spend time with their families in order to attend the event. Therefore we’ve moved it to a spring date and it give everyone exactly what they wanted. More time.”
The producers are also listening to several of the suggestions by fans and changing the pricing of the event and offering two for one tickets and special packages, so that attendees may bring a friend and split the cost of attending. “The facts show that we all lose weight faster and keep it off longer when we have a partner. Allowing a two-for-one pricing system allows for greater success of everyone who attends the retreat.”

“We’re looking forward to the event being successful and it being able to change a few hundred fans of the show who are truly tired of being fat and want to lose weight for good,” said an event spokesperson. “It’s a win-win for everyone involved.
