Launch of Prostate Cancer Knowledge Centre for doctors
The launch of a new interactive online ‘Knowledge Centre’ on Prostate Cancer has been announced by EPG Health Media. The Prostate Cancer Knowledge Centre is designed to support healthcare professionals involved in the management of patients with prostate cancer. Healthcare professionals are invited to access the resource for free at EPG Online (www.epgonline.org/prostate-cancer).Globally, at least 605,000 people are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year.1 The regional incidence of prostate cancer varies widely, with some of the highest rates observed in Northern and Western Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand.2 In Europe, prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed non-skin cancer in men, accounting for one in five male cancers.3
Sponsored by Astellas Pharma Europe Ltd., the Prostate Cancer Knowledge Centre includes a comprehensive review of diagnostic approaches to prostate cancer, staging of the disease, and treatment options including a particular focus on hormonal therapy.
