SAN FRANCISCO, CA, FEBRUARY 13, 2007: Under the leadership of founder Erik Hauser, and co-founding board member, Max Lenderman, The International Experiential Marketing Association and its interactive newsgroup, The Experiential Marketing Forum (www.experientialforum.com) , have created an archive resource on their website devoted to showcasing best practices for the burgeoning experiential marketing industry.
The first informal survey of the 3,000 international members is available today via a direct link on the home page, and all archived materials will reside on the site. The initial survey highlights both the most successful experiential marketing tactics being employed globally and calls out the tactics that have the most potential to backfire on the brand experience.
“We created IXMA and EMF because we saw current and emerging technology enabling the sharing of creative marketing ideas and vision as truly borderless,” according to Erik Hauser, “Providing a focal point to aggregate the thoughts and experiences of our international members about the art form is inspiring, exciting and educational for anyone who is employing or learning about experiential methodologies. It’s our purpose for being.”
In the spirit of contemporary Wiki culture, members of IXMA and EMF will serve as an industry resource think tank for regularly disseminating global information about successful campaigns, experience marketing tactics and to answer questions about the efficacy of experience marketing as the most persuasive methodology to reach out and connect to customers in a media-saturated environment.
Members of the media and the advertising industry are encouraged to post and pose questions that will become the source of articles, focus group research and white papers addressed by international agencies and freelancers working directly with customers on successful experience marketing campaigns from around the world.
