Arastu Systems announces FPGA Implementation for their Low Latency Switch Solution

February 7th, 2019, Santa Clara, CA - Arastu Systems, a product engineering company, today announces the successful implementation of their Ethernet 1G/10G Digital Soft IP Solution on a 4-Port Xilinx FPGA Platform. The solution is specifically designed for Time-Critical applications such as Financial Trading Systems, which demands lower latency, as negligence even by a millisecond can be catastrophic for business.

Arastu’s Ethernet low latency Switch is highly configurable and supports up to 24 Ports. Each port can act as 10M/100M/1G/2.5G/10G. Additionally, it supports major features such as Software based Multi-cast grouping, CAM/RAM based look up, Configuration through Management Port and more. The switch is also designed to offer optional support for Precision Time Protocol (PTP) 1588, considering the demand for the Ethernet solution in the Automotive Market.

Arastu Systems team of Ethernet experts have validated the solution, configured for 4-Port on a Virtex-7 VC709 FPGA Board. Each FPGA port is connected to a system. During the validation process, live traffic from various sources were initiated to verify the real-time speed for the solution. The validation also covers and verifies that the solution provides low latency during real-time payload.
