China Invests USD $29,350,000 in New Airport Project

Dec 17th, 2010: China will be constructing a brand new airport in the northern county of Mohe. The airport project will be valued at an investment of about twenty-nine million, three hundred and fifty thousand ( $29,350,000) U.S dollars. This airport project was sanctioned for construction in the month of December, year 2004 and will be one of the most important construction projects for the time period of 2006 – 2010 in the Heilongjiang Province of China.

According to the local government information, once the project is completed ; it will be the only airport in the entire northern Chinese county and which is at a distance of 100 km away from the Sino-Russian border. The entire planning of the Airport project, the choosing of its location and its vantage point has already been done.

The $29,350,000 Airport Project's infrastructure will comprise of a navigation system, power and oil supply facilities and a terminal building having a floor space of 1,200 sq m. This new airport will be covering an area of 1.59 million sq m and will be situated in the south-west part of Mohe County which is about a distance of nine km away from the county.
