Brits risk Christmas dinner fatigue
Festive loving Brits are a nation of Christmas dinner fanatics, according to research from Fire & Stone*, the deliciously different pizza restaurant. Ninety seven per cent of people will indulge in Christmas dinner prior to the big day with 30% admitting to enjoying at least three sittings and 6% five or more.It is no surprise then that 16% of Brits will spend, in totality, a whole day (24 hours) celebrating the festive period in the run up to Christmas Day with family, friends and colleagues by enjoying lunches and drinks parties, with one in five up to 18 hours.
Those who just can’t wait for their Christmas day dinner, but don’t want to run the risk of over-indulging before the 24th December arrives, can opt for Fire & Stone’s Christmas Pizza; a traditional seasonal treat with a twist.
“We at Fire & Stone like to think differently and are always innovating, which is how we came up with the concept of the Christmas Pizza. Bearing in mind the number of hard-core Christmas dinner fanatics there are out there, we tried to make it as authentic as possible to curb the cravings, but without contributing to ‘Christmas dinner fatigue’ by the time the big day arrives. Ideal for sharing, it’s a great way to bring families and friends together to celebrate the festive season.” Jo Duffield, Operations Manager, Fire & Stone.
Topped with the best quality roasted Norfolk bronze turkey, the pizza also comes with all the trimmings including the crispiest roast potatoes, chestnut, sage and onion stuffing, pork and apricot sausage meat, creamy brie, fruity cranberry sauce and lashings of silky gravy.

Dining out is not just about the food, it’s about the whole restaurant experience. What’s the point of offering a unique and different range of pizzas, if the eating experience isn’t equally as fresh and inspirational? Which is why we’ve paid a great deal of attention to how each one of our 5 restaurants look and feel, employing award winning architects to create an atmosphere that is both vibrant and stylish, yet at the same time, relaxed and welcoming.
