IMPRO 2019 - Diversity from 16 to 24 March

Last year, the Our Lives Festival had its focus on Europe. This year, IMPRO 2019 will be characterised by the rich diversity of improvised theatre. There’s »Theatrersports«, an early source of today’s modern improv theater with its vitality and dynamics. You can also enjoy the »Improvision Song Contest« – an improvised firework of songs, from Classical to Jazz to Death Metal. There will be evenings of improvisation in the style of Kaurismäki and Shakespeare as well as an audio drama accompanied by live sound effects and a DJ. The performative »Community« format, celebrated by the audience at IMPRO 2018, is also back. And in the »Playground« series the festival cast brings Berlin’s varied improv scene to the stage.
Ballhaus Berlin, BühnenRausch, English Theatre Berlin | IPAC, Mehringhoftheater and last but not least the Ratibor, home of hosts and local heroes Die Gorillas, are the locations for 24 shows of innovative, entertaining, international improvisational theater extraordinaire.
