From our review of the website, it looks like that there are two revenue streams at this point: a) Membership fees from Teachers, Coaching and Institutes for marketing their classes and Teaching skills and lots of features to get additional visibility and reach out to their potential students. b) Passive advertising, using the Google AdSense program. As the community grows, we are sure to see a lot more rich media display advertising on the site.

Idea behind this website launch is to help Educators and Learners to connect and find one another. Teacherlane - This name is chosen beacause it is an "online hub of great local teachers".
As we know there is no dearth of inspirational and expert teachers for whatever skill we want to learn. They are very much out there near us. But it has been common experience that at times they are just hard to find. We simply look around and fail for the suggestion come through our acquaintances. It might be because, we don't have such easy option to explore and reach out to them.
On the other side, our great local teachers most of the time unheard of and unable to reach out to the right student to fill up their classes and find it difficult to market their lessons and teaching kills to student community all around and go places.
