Bishop’s Move expands with series of appointments and promotions

UK’s largest privately owned removals company welcomes ten new members of staff to its growing team

Bishop’s Move, the UK’s largest privately owned removals company, has appointed ten new members of staff across its headquarters in Crawley, Chessington, Portsmouth, Wokingham and Edinburgh. In addition to this, the ever-expanding company has also promoted four members of its current staff: Mike Preece, John Lynn, Dani Skeggs and Trevor Woods were all rewarded for their high standard of work and commitment to the company.

Mike Preece transfers from Bishop’s Move’s Wokingham branch to its Crawley office where he will act as Group Operations Manager. His duties will include co-ordinating the group’s vehicle movements. Also within the Corporate Crawley office, Dani Skeggs has been promoted to Key Account Manager where she will oversee some of Bishop’s Move’s most lucrative contracts.

Replacing Mike Preece in Wokingham is John Lynn, who has been promoted to Branch Manager, and completing the round-up of promotions is Trevor Woods who has seen himself named as the new Branch Manager Designate at the Bishop’s Move HQ in Chessington.

Amongst the ten new starters joining Bishop’s Move is Jack Yates who is the company’s new Management Accountant based in Chessington. Jack takes on the bookkeeping responsibilities and will oversee Bishop’s Move’s tax payments and assessments and play a part in its annual budget planning. With similar responsibilities will be Patricia Leaver who joins the Portsmouth branch as Accounts Assistant.

Boosting its Sales Division, Bishop’s Move has brought in five new members of staff to add to its already established team. Joining from Chancellor’s Estate Agents and based in Chessington is Sales Executive James Comley, and he is joined by Emmanuel Effik (Online Sales Administrator) and David Chalmers (Online Sales Manager). Also joining is Edward Miles who has started a two-year work placement as Trainee Manager, undertaking his training at Bishop’s Move’s Chessington and Domestic branch. Edward follows in the footsteps of this older brother who also previously undertook a two-year work placement at the company.

Completing the list of new starters is Andrew Walker, who is the new Sales Executive in the Edinburgh office.

Joining as Corporate Relocation Co-Ordinators are Michael Herward, Gemma Burnett and Hayley King. Based in Crawley, this team will assist with managing the moves and will provide ongoing support and consultancy to Bishop’s Move’s customer base.
