Press release from: The Royal Scots Club

/ PR Agency: Crush
Christmas is the season for warming fires, hot toddies, luxurious comfort and festive cheer, which is exactly what the Royal Scots Club aims to provide.

Located in the heart of Edinburgh’s elegant New Town, the Royal Scots Club has a wide array of packages on offer for seasonal parties this Christmas. From cosy private lunches to sparkling corporate nights, guests can dine and dance in style at the charmingly traditional club house hotel.

With unique architectural features, blazing fires and oak-panelled rooms, the Royal Scots Club is a Christmas party venue with a historic twist, something Events Manager, Leila Arfa is especially proud of. ‘The individuality of the club house sets us apart from other event spaces; it’s a glorious place, full of character and we look forward to sharing it with all of our guests this Christmas.’

Menu options range from a three-course dinner with pre-drinks, DJ and Christmas novelties in the festively-decked halls, to a more sedate traditional Christmas lunch in one of Edinburgh’s finest dining rooms. Where possible, all the ingredients are locally sourced or Scottish, designed to delight all tastes including those with specific dietary requirements.

For Leila, an added benefit of the Royal Scots Club is the overnight accommodation. ‘For those travelling from far away, or wanting to party all night, we’re offering a special overnight rate for party guests.’ Included in the cost is a luxuriously late check-out time of 12 noon and a full Scottish breakfast to sweep away those cobwebs; it’s an offer that is likely to book up fast.

With Christmas lunch parties available from Friday 10th, the Royal Scots Club will be a bustling place this season – they also function as a wedding venue, for which they’ve been booked this winter by several couples hoping for a white wedding.

Details of all the packages can be found in their Christmas brochure. If you want a Christmas party venue that transports you back to a more elegant time of smoking jackets and cocktail dresses, the Royal Scots Club has it all. And if you like what you see, why not enquiry about membership, so you can enjoy it all year round?

The Royal Scots Club is an elegant country house hotel situated in one of Edinburgh’s finest Georgian streets. Open to members and non-members alike, its cosy club atmosphere is perfect for family lunches, romantic dinners and weddings, whilst its spacious business facilities provide an elegant space for corporate training days, seminars and meetings.

What also doesn’t help is that at

Christmas in Phuket
Phuket, Thailand: Thailand is a 95% Buddhist country so Christmas is not a festival that officially appears in the Thai calendar, but with a large ex-pat community and Thais who love an excuse to have fun, Christmas is celebrated in fine spirit every year - especially in Phuket. In fact, they started playing Christmas carols in Phuket’s Tesco on 19th November which took me by surprise. Then I noticed the frozen
Merry Christmas
’Tis The Season To Celebrate The Annual Festive Tradition Of Refusing To Call Christmas “Christmas.” 68% of Americans say they prefer to be greeted with “Merry Christmas” and not “Happy Holidays” and yet each year the Anti-Christmas Brigade takes to the streets, and takes to the airwaves, to protest against Americans calling Christmas by its name. Why is that? Sometimes the best way to understand why people do what they do is to
Last Christmas
The Tyrolean solar specialist keeps it Christmas promise. TiSUN has donated a solar system to the children at the Mordecai orphanage in Port Elizabeth (South Africa) and had it fully installed, free of charge. A project to improve health conditions for orphans who have lost their parents to AIDS has now been carried out. The system became operational in early September and provides hot water for two showers and a bathtub.
