Trinity-Noble a company committed to reducing distracted driving because of cell phone use, announced that it is releasing its Guardian Angel for Mobile Platforms (MP) technology to help with that goal. Guardian Angel MP is a phone-based software that locks the keys of a cell phone belonging to the driver of a vehicle, eliminating the temptation to engage in unsafe driving behaviors like texting or answering emails.

Studies have shown that driving while texting, using a cell phone, surfing the internet, or reading or answering emails can result in disastrous consequences. Not to mention liability for fleet owners if a driver engages in such behavior while driving a company vehicle. Guardian Angel MP software helps remove that distraction. The technology is designed to prevent cell phone use by locking the keys of a cell phone while a vehicle is traveling above certain speeds. Similar technology exists but Guardian Angel MP is unique in that the software can tell the difference between the cell phone of a driver and the cell phone of a passenger, and prevents the driver from overriding the application.
