ESCHA Headquarters in Germany

Halver, 9 January 2019 – The ESCHA Group has closed the financial year 2018 with record figures. At a consolidated group turnover of 77 million Euros, the German connectivity specialist achieved a growth rate of 14 percent over 2017. Likewise, previous year’s order entry best record was broken. At approximately 900 employees worldwide, workforce remained constant. For the family-controlled company, these figures mean the sixth record year in a row.

“After a considerable increase of all relevant key figures in 2017, ESCHA has achieved new records in 2018 as well. Unlike 2017, we have expected these figures and were, thus, in a position to prepare the company for this development in terms of procedures and capacities. With a 14 percent growth and a consolidated group turnover of 77 million Euros, we were able to set a new best record“, says Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. Marco Heck, Managing Director of the ESCHA Group and adds: “For 2019, we see first consolidation indicators. However, on a high level. Therefore, we are planning with an increase in a high single-digit percent range.“

Renewables, Transportation and Industrie 4.0 are growth engines

According to company information, the successful development in the past few years originate in all ESCHA sales-related regions. The Renewables und Transportation sectors were particularly positive growth trends for ESCHA. But also, the current industrial evolution headlined ‘Industrie 4.0‘, ‘IoT‘or ‘lot size 1‘ is driving the business according to Marco Heck: “Our products transmit safe and highly performant signals and currents. These days, we are additionally experiencing rising demands as the component connector/cable in a complex system or machine must be reliable. For years, related products have been required meeting the high protection classes of the industrial environment. Today, we deem it additionally important, that we – especially in the area of data transmission –, can supply measurably high quality, that does not impact the system performance.”
In order to be prepared for a further increase, construction work has started on a plant extension at headquarters in Halver. This extension will be completed at the beginning of the second quarter 2019, so that ESCHA will then dispose of 4,700 square meters of additional production- and office area. In China, the indicators are also on a growth course. Production is being extended there as well to meet the increased demand on the Asian markets.
