First, you have to find a solar panel which is twelve volts. Next thing you will need is battery, and you can use any smaller, rechargeable battery for the purpose. For your twelve volt solar panel, a twelve volt acid or lead battery is the best bet, as these are built for continuous and constant use. To ensure security, you also have to buy a battery box along with DC input.
The next thing required is a 'DC Meter' which matches the voltage of both battery and DC input. This will obviously enable you to generate energy from the panel and transfer it to power resources around your home. If you want to power the AC appliance, then obviously you need to use an inverter. Now, use an handheld tool to attach both DC input and meter to the top edge of the battery box, and use a well-insulated wire to link meter and battery.
Be cautious to handle only one wire at a time, and follow the same procedure to link the solar panel and DC inlet to the battery itself.
