Singing River Health System Adopts Sentri7 for Clinical Surveillance
Software pulls real-time data to streamline staff workflowsBellevue, Wash. – Pharmacy OneSource, Inc., software-as-a-service provider to more than 1,300 hospitals in the United States, announced today that Singing River Health System in Mississippi has selected Sentri7 for its clinical decision support.
Sentri7 gives staff a single point of access to lab results, medication records and patient demographics, data that previously resided in different systems. Clinicians can write rules against the data to identify and flag at-risk patients.
"Since we have implemented Sentri7 we are better able to streamline our clinical services, along with ease of capturing our intervention reporting. Sentri7 makes our pharmacists much more efficient," said Grant Gautier, Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator for Singing River Health System. "Being able to monitor real-time surveillance of a particular subgroup of patients enables us to identify outliers and intervene quickly."
Before using Sentri7, Gautier said his staff would rely on a variety of communication methods to perform anticoagulation monitoring, renal dosing and overall surveillance.
"That system was cumbersome with too many variables.Sentri7 lets our pharmacists know which patients to focus their attention on and document their follow-up and/or intervention," said Gautier.
Singing River Health System plans to implement an antimicrobial stewardship program in the future using Sentri7's reporting capabilities.
"All we have to do is build the rules and it's there on the dashboard - not another report to print every day, not another notebook to maintain daily, no more wondering who to follow and where they are in the health system," said Gautier.
