Memmert management and Chinese officials at the opening celebration

Schwabach, 09/24/2010

In the Chinese year of the tiger, Memmert (www.memmert.com) opened its first foreign branch. Red was the unifying element of the colourful ceremony, with which the era of Memmert (Shanghai) Trading Co. Ltd. in China began on 11th September 2010 in the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum.

Besides the Memmert Schwabach management team, more than 120 invited guests as well as representatives of the most important Chinese trade journals took part in the opening celebration of the new Memmert branch in Shanghai. Managing director Christiane Riefler-Karpa and branch manager Clement Mu, president of the Chinese Science Association, Shanghai, Huang Huajun, and head of the Quarantine and Inspection Office for Export & Import Guangdong, Zhang Lu Lu, gave short speeches.

Memmert stands for innovation and tradition

Modernity and tradition, the two main elements of Memmert’s philosophy, were also reflected in the addresses. The two Chinese officials emphasised that Memmert’s history in China goes a long way back. Memmert, they said, is a pioneer in the development of innovations, and they underlined that its quality stands for reliability and durability. The opening of the branch in China is excellent news for customers, because employees can now satisfy the individual needs of local customers as they speak the same language. Due to the geographical proximity of the new Memmert branch, the fastest service possible can now be guaranteed.

Christiane Riefler-Karpa and Clement Mu again emphasised the significance of this day in Memmert’s company history and expressed the hope that relations with customers in China will become even closer and more cooperative. In order to achieve this goal, the Memmert teams in China and Germany will strive to provide expert advice, immediate support in terms of service and spare parts requirements, as well as rapid delivery. On this day, the main message of the Memmert CEO to her guests was: “60 years ago, Willi Memmert, the founder of the company, laid the foundation for a long tradition as a leading manufacturer of ovens and climate chambers. This story of success was then continued by Grete Memmert-Riefler and her husband Peter Riefler and finally passed on to the third generation Christiane Riefler-Karpa. With customer benefits as our guiding principle, Memmert with its high-quality products that meet a wide range of technical requirements is perfectly prepared for the 21st century.”
