From the Familiar to the New: Sustainable Meats 101
The Boston Center for Adult Education and Jacqueline Church Present a New Sustainable Way to Cook!

So let's say you're interested in creating a green home. You shop at the farmers' markets, you buy organic when you can, maybe you even have a sustainable kitchen complete with a compost bin and power-saving appliances. What's next? How do you "green up" that protein in the middle of your plate? Join the Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) and Jacqueline Church, recent nominee for the Chefs Collaborative Pathfinder Award, on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 from 6:00PM – 9:00PM for their most forward-thinking cooking class yet, “From the Familiar to the New: Sustainable Meats 101.”

Jacqueline Church, award-winning food, wine & spirits writer, will teach you not only what sustainable meats to stock in your kitchen, but where to find them and how to cook them in the most delicious, fulfilling and eco-friendly ways! Anyone can create a sustainable salad with veggies from their local farmer’s market, but after attending Sustainable Meats 101, you’ll be among the select, trendsetting few with the ability to create an entirely sustainable and balanced meal. Participants will learn three new recipes using sustainable meats. They'll also leave with a resource guide, practical advice, and tips for incorporating sustainable meats into their weekly meals.
