U.S. CIO Vivek Kundra revealed the plan Tuesday at a IPv6 workshop in Washington hosted by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration

30 Sept 2010 – Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – Roaring Penguin Software Inc., the email filtering experts, makers of the acclaimed CanIt-PRO, CanIt-Domain-PRO and Hosted CanIt anti-spam solutions, announced their approval of the Obama Administrations plans to transition to IPv6. Said David Skoll, President of Roaring Penguin Software '" The White House plan has a clear schedule for government departments and agencies to migrate to IPv6. All government servers that face the public must using native IPv6 by Sept 30 2012. This covers all government web, email, DNS, ISP services etc. We would love to see a similar announcement from the Canadian Government clarifying its goals and time lines with regards to IPv6 deployment.
