TurnKey Internet Offers IPV6 to All Customers

TurnKey Internet announced today that they have made Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) available to their clients.
Experts predict that IPv4 addresses, the numerical codes that computers and devices use to connect over the internet, will run out completely within a year’s time. When the IPv4 addresses run out, all new IP addresses will be in the IPv6 format. Old IPv4 addresses will require routing through proxy points to “talk” to the new IPv6 sites. These proxies present serious security vulnerabilities as well as significant choke points for site traffic. As an industry leader, TurnKey Internet is providing their customers with a head start on the new protocol, providing both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses to help clients avoid the pitfalls of choke point proxies, including security breaches, severe traffic slow-downs and, ultimately, lost sales.
“We are very happy to be able to offer IPv6 connectivity to all of our dedicated and virtual private server clients as well as our TurnKeyMail email hosting clients,” said Adam Wills, President and CEO of TurnKey Internet. “We are advising our clients that they will not have to make any changes to their websites. We will seamlessly connect them via both IPv4 and IPv6 simultaneously, to be ready for the future.”
TurnKey Internet’s IPv6 release comes on the heels of their comprehensive package of software-as-a-service online business solutions including TurnKey Mail, TurnKey Newsletter and TurnKey Vault NAS.
