Celebrating 83 Years in Exhibitions and Still Growing
Exhibition design and build specialists, Driscoll Brothers have something to celebrate this week. Not only are the Manchester based business celebrating their 83rd birthday but they have also announced a 143% increase in their client base over the past 12 months compared to the previous year.Glyn Driscoll says “the improvement in business over the past 12 months has been a combination of working closely with local advertising and marketing agencies to bolt on our services to their own, as well as an extra push with our own sales and marketing operations”
As the longest established exhibition business in the UK, Driscoll Brothers have always been proud of their family heritage. First founded by Glyn’s Grandfather Reginald Ernest Driscoll and handed down through the generations to Glyn’s father Ernest Driscoll and now Glyn Driscoll with son Marcus and daughter-in-law Paula, the business has had to undergo a lot of adaptation.
Glyn Driscoll says “the business has obviously changed dramatically since it was first established – horse and cart used to be the preferred method of transport for transporting exhibition stands – as you can imagine that wouldn’t quite work now. Our success lies with the ability to adapt when required, we are heavily immersed in technology as that is what’s required. We offer clients digital services such as HTML email marketing to promote their events/exhibitions as well as microsites and on-stand flash presentations if required – all our digital capabilities are in-house which our clients appreciate”.
As for the future, how do Driscoll Brothers predict they are going to perform over the next 12 months – are we going to see a repeat of this year? Glyn says “we certainly hope so, as exhibition contractors, the field is always moving – however we have a very strong team in place and we expect this upward trend to continue”.
