ABUS Security-Center presents new storage media for digital video monitoring
At the Security 2010 in Essen, ABUS Security-Center is presenting two new Eytron storage solutions for IP-based video recording: the Eytron TVVR35000 4-channel video buffer and the Eytron TVVR70020 16-channel NAS. Live display and data administration of the devices is conducted with a web browser, Samba or the video management software (VMS). These recording solutions are inexpensive and practical alternatives to stand-alone recorders and are ideally suited for recording data from IP cameras in the SOHO and SME areas.Eytron TVVR35000 4-channel video buffer
The 4-channel video buffer is a small and efficient solution for real-time recording of up to four ABUS 2.0-megapixel cameras. The video buffer, which is roughly the size of two cigarette packets, is plugged directly into a mains socket and can be connected to the network via WLAN or a network cable. The streams are stored in either H.264, MPEG4 or MJPEG formats on an SD card with a maximum storage capacity of 64 GB or on up to two external hard disks connected via USB.
Eytron TVVR70020 16-channel NAS
The 16-channel NAS (Network Attached Storage) is an interesting alternative to network video recorders if fail-safe recording is required for up to 16 IP cameras in the network. The recordings are made in H.264, MPEG-4 or MJPEG formats on up to four SATA hard disks. Reliable data storage is ensured by the option of forming a RAID network with the hard disks. If one disk breaks down, the data is still available on at least one other hard disk, depending on the RAID selected. A further data backup on an external hard disk connected via USB or eSATA is also possible.
Added value for security
The virtual alarm inputs and outputs of the TVVR35000 and TVVR70020 enable them to be used in conjunction with other IP-based ABUS solutions, such as the Eycasa door video system or the IP alarm module, to perform many different security tasks, such as triggering alarms or starting recordings in the event of an alarm.
Prices and availability
The Eytron storage solutions are due to go on sale from December 2010.
