To celebrate the winter solstice, a NYC subway carriage was turned into a temporary forest with a nature based flash mob today. New Yorkers from various backgrounds: urban farmers, city gardeners, florists and plant parents came together to bring some holiday cheer, provide a breath of fresh air as well as a touch of nature to where it´s needed the most.

¨Even on the darkest of days and in the dingiest of places we can celebrate a bright future by bringing Nature to the People.¨ said Simon Roberts, founder of Nature to the People.

¨So much time and energy is spent fighting for more green space in cities. We wanted to change the conversation and create a more playful ways to celebrate nature in cities.¨
