HAIRLIVING.com launches online magazine for Gen X and Y
Finally! A magazine and information portal dealing with hair loss from a Gen X and Gen Y perspective.Generations X and Y are aging – and this means hair loss, hair thinning, hairline receding – whatever you wanna call it. Gen Xers: the first generation of Postmodernists raised on technology and pragmatism are maturing. They’re independent thinkers that thumb their nose at authority. Gen Y: Internet babies whose arrival to adulthood is much slower than previous generations – sometimes called the Peter Pan generation.
Generations X and Y are losing hair (“OMG, this totally sucks, I’m losing my hair,” they will tweet) before going online looking for answers. And like it or not, this generation is not going to their doctor – they’re going online. HAIRLIVING.com looks at issues relevant for these generations.
HAIRLIVING.com offers tips throughout its informative articles and takes a “less is more” tone when it comes to treating hair loss. Unlike other sites that profile radical surgeries, promote taking prescription medications or recommend one brand of (possibly) overpriced vitamins, HAIRLIVING.com’s purpose is to inform and let the reader decide. If nothing else, Gen X and Gen Y don’t like being told what to do. We give them the tools they need to make up their own mind. Though admittedly, we do promote going to the doctor and eating healthy!
Sometimes in the tone of dark humor, sometimes funny and other times just plain serious, HAIRLIVING.com reaches out to Gen X and Y in hopes that those who suffer from hair loss will do the right thing, in terms of their health and bank account.
- natural and economically viable ways to prevent hair loss
- how to manage hair loss without health insurance
- why men and women need different solutions for their hair loss
- how Gen X and Gen Y lifestyle choices could be leading to hair loss
- answers to frequently asked questions
HAIRLIVING.com was founded by Lindsey Parker after she had her own bout with hair loss, eventually fixing her problems without the use of expensive chemicals, harsh medicines or quick-fix solutions. She hopes to inspire others to solve their hair loss responsibly and encourage you to visit her Hair Loss Solutions site.
