Chicago Elder Law Attorneys Raise Awareness for Alzheimer’s Disease

CHICAGO, IL - Chicago law firm Peck Bloom, LLC is proud to announce their support of the Alzheimer’s Association’s Greater Illinois Chapter “Memory Walk” - a 5K walk to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care and research.

“Although the weather was not fully cooperative, it did nothing to dampen the spirits of the throngs of people who attended Memory Walk 2010. The enthusiasm generated by the participants and organizers for this incredibly important cause was tremendous,” said Nick Zinn, associate attorney at Peck Bloom, LLC and Memory Walk attendee.

This was Peck Bloom’s third consecutive year as a main sponsor of the Memory Walk, which according the Alzheimer’s Association is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care. As Chicago Elder Law lawyers that specialize in long-term planning for families with loved ones diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease and other progressive diseases, Kerry Peck was eager to support a cause close to the firm. The firm not only sponsored the event, but also had a team on site to participate in the walk.

“Alzheimer’s is a progressive disease that affects each patient differently. The sooner you start planning the more choices you will have. Our firm’s compassionate and competent attorneys are able to ensure every planning option available is utilized to ensure the patient’s wishes are met,” said Kerry Peck, managing partner of Peck Bloom, LLC.

Peck Bloom is committed to the Alzheimer’s Association year-round as Kerry Peck is also a member of the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter, Board of Directors, Early Onset Committee and frequent speaker at Alzheimer’s Association continuing education seminars. Kerry Peck was also a panelist in the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education’s first webinar on Alzheimer’s Disease and the law.
