About the collection
“The Future of” is a collection of foresight reports across a wide range of industries. The objective of each report is to provide the reader with a foresight approach to any specific sector, within the boundaries of the meaning of the notion of foresight.
As part of the future studies, foresight is a participatory, co-creative, design-based discipline, which requires interaction among various stakeholders. Within this umbrella, “The Future of” reports provide an incipit to the creative process, and therefore they do not aim at providing fully defined creative scenarios, which can only be the output of a co-creative process with the stakeholders.
Nevertheless, the reports provide a relevant and insightful snapshot of the trends, signals, and technologies, which are necessary components of the foresight process. However, when pos¬sible, creative scenarios will be included, as an inspiring platform, and not as an undisputed destination of the creative journey.
