OROS introduces the new version of its 3-series dynamic signal analyzer

Years after launching the renowned 3-series analyzers, OROS has taken them to another level by adding user-inspired refinements. Already known for their toughness yet high performance abilities, the OROS dynamic signal analyzers are now more versatile with unique features especially designed to perform in-the-field noise and vibration measurements.

Integrated universal inputs, signal conditioning, stand-alone recording and CAN bus interface are a dramatic evolution for engineers who want to be more efficient in their work. The new 3-series analyzer also brings innovative solutions that fit demanding applications for vibration diagnostics, reinforcing its field capabilities.

“A large number of our customers are complaining about the nightmare of cabling and losing screws with external signal conditioning gears they are adding aside their analyzers.” says Nick G., a product manager at OROS. “That’s what drove the development of an expander module, the Xpod, directly clipped on the side of the analyzer” he adds. OROS engineers paid attention to design all the signal conditioning (e.g. strain gauges) in a low profile device to keep the system portability.

The new version of the analyzer offers the ability to turn the instrument into a stand-alone recorder, the D-rec (direct recorder). Thanks to a redesigned front panel, you can now set-up, operate and control your measurement in the harshest environment not suitable for a PC. In addition, the 60 GB removable and USB wired hard drive gives you the capacity and flexibility you need for this type of measurement.

OROS instruments can be complemented with a CAN bus interface able to acquire parameters from a unique wire in a car or energy machinery. This latest generation of instrument is the right choice for noise and vibration measurement, used for maintenance, tests and qualification.
