New: German/English simultaneous translation for international participants

After the conference anniversary in 2018, which the well-established industry get-together celebrated with over 150 participants, Carl Hanser Verlag invites grinding experts again to Stuttgart-Fellbach in 2019 for the 16th edition of the Schleiftagung. In 2019 the symposium will also become a meeting place for international participants, since the presentations will be offered with German-English simultaneous translation for the first time. Otherwise nothing changes in the success concept of this (still German-speaking) event.

Within the last 16 years the Fellbacher Schleiftagung has become the leading information and networking platform for grinding experts and those striving to become such.
Besides the practical and future-oriented lectures, participants highly appreciate good networking opportunities at the event: "A good mix of theory and practice" commented participant Marvin Stoll from Gühring KG.

The 2019 conference program - with topics along the process chain also covering the area of flat, profile and tool grinding - will once again be presented by Dirk Friedrich along with the advisory board, consisting of Helmut Damm (Editor-in-Chief of Werkstatt + Betrieb), Tobias Engenhart (KNOLL Maschinenbau GmbH), Georg Güntert (Güntert Präzisionstechnik GmbH), Dr. Ing. Markus Helpertz (Brinkmann Pumpen GmbH & Co. KG), Dr.-Ing. Dirk Hessel (Dr. Kaiser Diamantwerkzeuge GmbH & Co. KG), Arne Hoffmann (BLOHM JUNG GmbH) and Roland Schmitz (EMAG Maschinenfabrik GmbH).

New to the board is Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wilfried Saxler, Director of Institute of Manufacturing and Tooling Technology at Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln and managing Director of the FDPW e.V.
Young scientists once again will present their latest research results as part of the poster session during the program.

Last but not least, an accompanying exhibition offers participating companies the opportunity to present their current products and services to the professional audience at the conference.
