FDM Employees raise money at Volleyball Tournament

In October 2010, six employees from International IT services provider, FDM Group, will be taking part in The Prince’s Trust Himalayan Action Challenge to help change the lives of the most disadvantaged youth in the UK.

As a leading employer, FDM takes pride in supporting underprivileged young people, which directly links to their own corporate mission of developing the IT careers of graduates throughout the UK, Europe and the USA.

Henry Duddy, Simon Jowett, Joey Gartell, Jon Taplin, Sergio Malatesta and Savantanee Chakraborty will each take part in a series of extreme physical and mental challenges over a seven-day 320km circular journey throughout the mountainous kingdom of Nepal, in support of the vital work of The Prince’s Trust.

All six FDM employees are committed to raise a total of £21,000 in preparation for the challenge and have managed to reach £14,825 of their fundraising target so far. This was made possible with the generous help of ASB Law, BMW, KPMG, Jimmy Chop Chop, Callaway, Inflexion, Milkround, myhotel (Brighton), The Ramada (Manchester) and St Martin Vintners. FDM fully supports The Prince's Trust and the commitment of its employees towards this tremendous cause.

Joey Gartell, Performance Analyst at FDM taking part in the challenge, commented: ‘The reality is that not everyone is as fortunate or privileged with the events in their lives as you or I may have been, so it is important to support such a cause in order to help the people who really deserve it the most’.

FDM Group is an international IT Services Provider specialising in six core service areas: Project Management Office, Application Support, Development, Testing, Infrastructure and Training. Renowned for service excellence, FDM supplies effective and innovative IT solutions to over 200 blue-chip clients worldwide.
