Foundation STFRA supports counsellors and employees

A year after #MeToo finally an effective (pragmatic) initiative

The role and presence of counsellors in our work environment is increasingly important, it’s a necessity. The goal of counselors is having a structural contribution in creating and maintaining workplace safety. One of the main tasks concerns informing about the types of unwanted behavior and manners in the workplace and encouraging to report experiencing or witnessing unwanted behavior in the workplace. However we know that 10% of the internal and 23% of the external counselors are corrected by their employer or client. Which doesn’t contribute to make reporting unwanted behavior more approachable. The consequences of these corrections are that the reporter is disregarded or even that the counsellor is intimidated.

To make sure counselors can feel safe in the workplace, the Foundation Report App STFRA offers an independent hotline and advice center. The foundation supports both parties in word and deed with as main goal to create a safe work environment for every employee.

Furthermore organizations and employees can rely upon the foundation to: inform themselves about the role and the importance of the counsellor, receive information as an employee on how counsellor can be deployed and last but not least the foundation is the ambassador of the smartphone app Report. This is completely independent application whereby employers can offer information and instructions 24/7 to all employees in all necessary languages. Employers have a legal obligation to provide this information. The Report App will be launched at the end of 2018.
