Sunergy Systems Celebrates 5th Anniversary, 1 Megawatt of Solar Installations

Seattle, WA – August 4, 2010 – This summer, locally based Sunergy Systems is celebrating its 5th anniversary as a solar integrator in the greater Puget Sound region. “It may not seem like a significant milestone for most businesses but as far as solar companies in the Northwest go, ours could be considered one of the elders,” said Howard Lamb, Founder.

In August, the company will also reach another significant milestone. By the end of the month, Sunergy Systems will have installed over 1 Megawatt of solar power in the Pacific Northwest region. “The business has grown year after year and we expect to installing 1 Megawatt every year here in the very near future. It’s a very exciting time not just for our company but for the solar industry in Washington State as well,” said Lamb. To put this into perspective, the average home installation is 3.5 to 4 kilowatts. “So we’re talking 250 installations of that size!”

Howard Lamb founded Sunergy Systems in the summer of 2005. Based in Ballard, the company has grown from a small, four-person team to the largest solar energy focused contractor in the State of Washington.
