Pharmacy OneSource Announces Free Webinar with The Cleveland Clinic on Medication Turnaround Times
Examining the impact of using a medication tracking system to increase efficiencyBellevue, WA – Pharmacy OneSource, software-as-a-service provider of MedBoard, a wireless medication tracking system, is pleased to announce a complimentary webinar: "Using Data and Technology to Improve and Monitor Medication Turnaround Times" presented by Sam Calabrese, RPh, MBA, Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services at The Cleveland Clinic.
Calabrese will review the implementation of a medication tracking system to identify bottlenecks within a medication distribution system. He will review technology used to improve turnaround times by providing efficient medication distribution and will focus on a decentralized distribution model using automated dispensing cabinets, carousel technology, and delivery tracking by MedBoard.
"MedBoard has allowed us to track our medications from the point a label is printed until it reaches its final delivery location. The system has also saved time for the pharmacists and technicians by identifying the location of missing medications by preventing rework," said Calabrese.

About the Presenter: Sam Calabrese R.Ph., MBA is the Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services at The Cleveland Clinic, a thirteen hundred bed hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. He has been with the Cleveland Clinic for over thirteen years, where he has filled various leadership positions before becoming Director. He is currently the immediate past president of The Ohio Society of Health System Pharmacist and serves as active in ASHP as a delegate for Ohio.
