Liguria is really famous for its deep blue sea and, as a matter of fact, has some of the most beautiful beaches and bays in Italy. For example, the Riviera di Levante reveals the many fascinating towns and villages of the Golfo del Tigullio, surrounded by luxuriant nature, especially Portofino, a seaside resort lying in a charming natural bay.
In addition, at the tip of the Riviera di Levante lies the Cinque Terre, a National Park and protected marine environment, a protected area that ensures conservation of local architecture and landscapes, its typical products and timeless lifestyles. The area of the Cinque Terre and its sea represent a unique breathtaking natural spectacle. No visit to the Gulf of the Poets would be complete without visiting seaside villages like Tellaro, San Terenzo, Fezzano, Le Grazie.

In the province of Savona, it is also possible to visit the Island of Bergeggi, with a natural environment including the Mediterranean scrub and cliffs.
Also La Spezia archipelago includes three islands: Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto. However, only Palmaria Island can be reached by a ferry service. Since 1997, Palmaria with Tino and Tinetto, Porto Venere and Cinque Terre have been included in the UNESCO world heritage list.
In short, in Liguria visitors will have a wide array of places to discover, beaches where to spend relaxing moments, ancient typical towns to visit, deep blue sea to dive in.
