Nominated for the 2011 Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany: denro ONE Room Manager
With the denro One Room Manager you can control lighting, power, temperature, ventilation, shading and home entertainment systems from one convenient location. This nomination for the German national design award is a special honor for denro AG considering that very stringent official judging criteria are used to select candidates for the prestigious award. Companies must have been nominated by the Ministries and Senators of the Federal States or by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. Products will only be considered that have already achieved national or international design recognition. The denro ONE Room Controller met this condition as the winner of the 2010 Light + Building Design Plus Award.
The denro ONE Room Manager was designed by the design firm, Ottenwälder und Ottenwälder. "Design must not only be about the aesthetic aspects, people and ease of use must rather be at the center of the design concept. The denro ONE Room Manager is a perfect example of this, wherein form and function support each other," explains Max Ottenwälder regarding the philosophy of the design firm.
The German National Design Awards comprises disciplines including Communications Design and Product Design. The Design Prize will be awarded next August by an independent jury made up of representatives from industry, academia, the design world and the media. The jury will be officially appointed by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
