A NEW APPROACH TO FINDING JOY IN YOUR WORK

Are You Satisfied with Your Work Life?

Are You Satisfied with Your Work Life?

November 9, 2018 Want more satisfaction in your work life? Seeking a new career but not sure how to choose one that suits you? Perhaps you need a new perspective on your current job.

Thanks to the generosity of Orson Bean, renowned actor, comedian and author of Me and the Orgone and Lalo Schifrin, musician, conductor and Oscar award winning composer, you can join board-certified psychiatrist, Peter A. Crist, M.D., for a unique, interactive presentation, “Are You Satisfied with Your Work Life?,” on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Pacific Resident Theater, 703 Venice Blvd., Venice, Calif. Admission is free.

Dr. Crist’s background in psychiatry and business consulting underlies a distinctive, functional approach to work that can help anyone—actors, code writers, artists, doctors, lawyers, business people and corporate employees—whether self-employed or part of a company.

He notes, “Identifying an individual’s specific work nature is important for helping them find satisfaction in work that suits them. Work is a spontaneous, natural, biological function that needs an outlet in each person. This concept differs from most other viewpoints on work. The same principles can also help organizations function more productively and profitably with genuine expansion—the organizational equivalent of individual satisfaction and joy.”

Dr. Crist received his AB in Zoology and MD degree from UCLA. He is board-certified in psychiatry, internal medicine, and medical orgonomy. He is in private practice near Princeton, N.J. and is president and CEO of ergonexus LLC a business consulting practice with a functional approach to organizational problems, work relationships and advising individuals from executives to staff. In addition, he is president of the American College of Orgonomy (ACO), a non-profit, educational and training organization.

The presentation will be followed by a reception and short update by Dr. Crist on the activities and progress of the ACO, now in its 50th anniversary year.

Dr. Crist is available for interviews prior to the event. While in California, he will also be arranging private, work-life consulting sessions.

Admission is free thanks to underwriting support. Donations are welcome. Seating is limited and reservations are recommended. Call the ACO at (732) 821-1144 or make your reservation online by visiting www.orgonomy.org.

The American College of Orgonomy (ACO) is a nonprofit educational and scientific organization located near Princeton, New Jersey, that is devoted to setting and maintaining standards for work in the field of orgonomy, the science developed by Dr. Wilhelm Reich.

The College conducts a postgraduate medical orgonomy training program for qualified physicians and psychiatrists. Medical orgonomists offer a unique form of treatment that is based on a scientific understanding of the connection between the mind and the body. This approach effectively treats a wide range of emotional illnesses, usually without medication.

Elsworth F. Baker, M.D., a psychiatrist who trained and worked with Dr. Reich, founded the ACO in 1968. Reich, a student and colleague of Sigmund Freud, discovered that all living things contain an energy that he called, “orgone energy.” He originated the science of orgonomy based on his scientific observations. Today, this science informs an energetic understanding and approach to psychiatry, medicine, biology, the physical and social sciences, and atmospheric environmental research.

The ACO also offers its Social Orgonomy Training Program which applies orgonomic principals to the social realm. In addition to its professional educational programs, the College sponsors conferences, a speakers’ bureau, lectures, and laboratory courses for professional and interested laymen. The ACO conducts and supports basic and applied research, publishes The Journal of Orgonomy, a newsletter, and is a source for books about orgonomy.
