Vascular Access Centers’ NJ Team Supports National Kidney Foundation, Participating In Trenton Walk
Vascular Access Centers (VAC) recently supported The National Kidney Foundation’s (NKF’s) efforts to raise awareness and money for kidney disease at a charity walk in Mercer County Riverfront Park in Trenton, New Jersey on Sunday, May 23rd.The purpose of the National Kidney Foundation’s Kidney Walks is to increase awareness for kidney disease and raise funds that provide free screenings and support education programs. In addition to the walk in Trenton, the National Kidney Foundation schedules other walks across the country throughout the year.
According to Andrea Cutillo of Vascular Access Centers, the VACNJ team included patients, family, friends, businesses and even pets who came together to support the millions of Americans with chronic kidney disease.
“It was really heart-warming to see how many people came out to support The National Kidney Foundation at the walk,” reported Cutillo. “We always hope the number of walkers and donations will increase every year, and we had an amazing turn-out of support!”
The VACNJ Team raised more than $2,000 in addition to making the largest corporate donation as a bronze level sponsor. Beyond New Jersey, VAC teams nationwide participated in their local National Kidney Foundation walks in Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Texas has a walk slated for September that the VAC of Houston will be participating in.
