HPG Partner Joins NCWTA Board of Directors
Brooks Malone Serving a Two-Year Term
RALEIGH, N.C. (May 28, 2010)—Brooks Malone, partner at Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP (hpg.com), the largest CPA firm headquartered and staffed in the Research Triangle Park region of North Carolina, has been appointed to the North Carolina World Trade Association’s (ncwta.org) state board of directors. Beginning June 1, Malone will serve a two-year term as a board member at large representing the Triangle chapter, where he also serves on the finance committee of the board of directors.
Malone has more than 20 years of public accounting experience. He has been with HPG since 1990 and a partner since 1997. At the firm, Malone concentrates his efforts on financial reporting, business consulting and financial planning for clients in a variety of industries. He also co-leads HPG’s knowledge-based industries practice team that serves high-growth and investor-backed technology companies, their founders and executives.
“Brooks has been an invaluable contributor to the growth and reinvention of the North Carolina World Trade Association; we are thrilled to have him join us on the state board to continue our efforts,” says Teresa Spangler, NCWTA state board member and Triangle chapter president. “The WTA has focused intently on providing insights, connections, trends and strategic support through programs and education for companies in North Carolina that seek to expand globally.
