RALEIGH, N.C. (February 4, 2011) — Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP (hpg.com), the largest CPA firm headquartered and staffed in the Research Triangle Park region of North Carolina, is sponsoring the 2011 CED Biotech/Life Science Conference. The 20th annual event will be held on February 21-22 at the Raleigh Convention Center.

“North Carolina continues to be a focal point for the growing biotech and life sciences industries, and we are proud to support the CED as it promotes the industry and educates the stakeholders,” says Tim Gupton, HPG partner and former CED board chair. “The conferences, seminars and workshops provide invaluable educational and networking opportunities that will help our life science team at HPG provide added value to our clients.”

The 2011 Biotech/Life Science Conference integrates industry leadership, technology, and entrepreneurship for the Southeastern biotech community. It provides an in-depth look into the life science industry and offers a networking opportunity for professionals to discuss emerging trends in the field. North Carolina Governor Beverly Perdue will open the conference, and more than 20 industry leaders will speak on timely topics such as financing, personalized medicine and regulations.
