Admissions Moratorium at Manatee Palms Lifted
Manatee Palms Youth Services
On April 16, Manatee Palms was issued a moratorium by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) banning the facility from accepting new patients. Since the moratorium was issued, Manatee Palms has continued to treat its existing patients while working with the AHCA to implement the necessary corrections for the moratorium to be lifted.
“We are pleased with the AHCA’s findings and appreciate the confidence they have shown in Manatee Palms,” said CEO Jeff Turiczek. “We continue to be dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to our patients.”

Manatee Palms Youth Services is a fully licensed, 60-bed Level IV Intensive Residential Treatment Facility (IRTF) that provides services to children and adolescents ages 6 to 17 years old. The facility provides trauma-informed care, specializing in a girls’ specific unit, a boys’ specific unit and sexually maladaptive/sexually reactive unit for boys. Manatee Palms is licensed by the State of Florida and fully accredited by The Joint Commission.
