ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. — (May 19, 2010) — Saint Simons By-The-Sea is proud to welcome Mike Ham as the new chief executive officer of the full-service behavioral health facility. Ham returns to his Georgia roots at By-The-Sea, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility, is proud to announce the addition of Seth Eisenberg, M.D., as the medical director of the full-service behavioral health hospital. With experience in addiction medicine, psychiatry and hospital administration, Eisenberg will bring knowledge and leadership to meet the mental health needs of the patients at Saint Simons By-The-Sea.

Eisenberg, who is Board Certified in psychiatry, brings an extensive mental health background, including expertise in areas such as adolescent psychiatry, substance abuse and gambling addiction. Most recently, he served as the Director of Addiction Psychiatry at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Eisenberg has also been the medical director of the Illinois Department of Human Services’ Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse. Additionally, he served as the medical director for the Illinois Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities, a not-for-profit agency that offers behavioral health recovery management services for people throughout Illinois with mental health and chemical dependency issues. He also served as the clinical director of the Adolescent Chemical Dependency Program at Kahi Mohala Hospital in Honolulu.

Eisenberg received his Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis, and his Doctor of Medicine from the Chicago Medical School. He completed his psychiatry internship, psychiatry residency, and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco. He is Board Certified in child and adolescent, and general psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and has added qualifications in addiction psychiatry. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Addiction medicine. During his career he has served in teaching, research and leadership roles in the field of psychiatry and addiction medicine.
