KIRKLAND, Wash. — (May 18, 2010) — Fairfax Hospital is proud to announce Michael Uradnik as its new chief operating officer and director of business development. In this dual role, Uradnik will be responsible for pursuing new business ventures and overseeing the daily activities at Fairfax Hospital, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) hospital and full-service behavioral health facility.

Uradnik has a strong background in both business development and strategic planning within the healthcare field. Most recently, he served as the administrative director for women, infants and pediatric specialty care at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. During this time, he focused on service growth, including new programs and facility development. Prior to that, he served as the director of pediatric cardiac care for a joint venture congenital heart surgery program between MultiCare Health System in Tacoma, Wash., and Swedish Medical Center. Additionally, he was the executive director for a multiple sclerosis treatment and research center, and a business developer and consultant for various large medical centers.

Uradnik earned his Bachelor of Arts in English language and literature from the University of Chicago. He completed his Master of Arts in English literature at the University of Montana, and his Master of Health Services Administration in health management and policy at the University of Michigan.
