Manager Joins ECT from Telefónica Deutschland GmbH

Munich, May 19th 2010 – ECT (European Computer Telecoms), leading provider for value-added services in the voice and multimedia domain, has announced the appointment of a new Director Engineering Services. Dieter Rebholz was previously Head of Voice Development and Product Development Business Services at Telefónica Deutschland GmbH.

Heading a team of more than twenty service engineers spread over five subsidiaries worldwide and the ECT Headquarters, Rebholz is responsible for one of the key business areas at ECT that contributes on a large scale to the company’s financial success. As head of this department, he is part of ECT’s top-level management.

In his new position, Dieter Rebholz is in charge of all issues related to operations, maintenance and customer support as well as contributing to solution deliveries.

His responsibilities include the definition and implementation of processes for customer infrastructure operations, (hard- and software management, configuration management), preventive and corrective maintenance (trouble ticketing), service monitoring, consulting and evolution support as well as customer training.

“It is my goal to develop our customer support services into a valuable profit center reflected by an attractive product portfolio”, Dieter Rebholz comments his new position, “I want to ensure that ECT delivers our clients what they really need. Since a good support service is a crucial complement to our system products and of high value to our customers, it is my clear goal to implement and deliver carrier-grade services defined by competence, reliability and quality, and at the same time, assuring best cost effectiveness, contributing to the cost leadership of ECT in our market.”

Dieter Rebholz, who was born in 1963, holds a degree in electrical engineering and telecommunications from the Technical University of Karlsruhe.
