IMD MBA participant Thom Hermens named a finalist in the Energy for Tomorrow essay competition

IMD 2010 MBA participant Thom Hermens has been named a top-10 finalist in the Energy for Tomorrow Essay Contest, a project sponsored by Time, Fortune and the Shell Corporation to find “workable and innovative models to help secure a sustainable energy future for the world.” Hermens’ essay is entitled, “Facing the Environmental Challenges of the Future; Committing to a New Framework in Industry to Implement Innovation.”

Hermens comes to IMD from the Netherlands where he acquired five and half years of international experience in engineering, project management and supply chain management in the aerospace industry. He is a graduate of Delft U of Technology and formerly worked for Rolls-Royce and ADSE Consultancy and Engineering Services.

Essay contest finalists represent the world’s top talent at leading international business schools. Each finalist is being featured on Time.com and a $5,000 prize is being offered to the recipient of the “readers’ choice” award.
