direct/ EUROFORUM Deutschland GmbH: EU Iron Ore - Insights 2007

13th and 14 December 2006, Frankfurt/Main, Germany

Düsseldorf/Frankfurt, November 2006. The conference "EU Iron Ore - Insights 2007" (13th and 14th December 2006, Frankfurt/Main, Germany), organised by EUROFORUM and Informa, is an important industry event for iron ore and steel professionals. The extreme price increases of iron ore in the past years, as well as the 19 per cent jump in the price for iron ore this year, raises questions about the further development of iron ore prices and about further deposits. Experts anticipate the trend of rising prices for iron ore will continue in the years to come, even though the increases may be lower. According to estimates, a climb of up to 7.5 per cent is expected in 2007. (Source: http://www.trading-house.net)

Experts from the field will provide an overview of the current production status, explore the enormous potential in Brazil and Latin America and shed light on the developments of the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China) as steel consumers and producers. Speakers will include high-ranking representatives from the following companies: CVRD International, Macquarie Bank, Rusmet.net , Roche Bay, Ferrexpo Group, MMX, LKAB and Baffinland Iron Mines Corporation.

Apart from interesting speeches and essential background information from the field, the conference will also offer plenty of opportunities to meet and exchange ideas with the speakers and your colleagues from the industry. How safe is Germany?
A few weeks ago, alarmist coverage of a fight which took place during a festival in the small town of Mügeln (Saxony) was featured in newspapers throughout Germany.
