Babylon restructures sales in Central Europe

Newly established Alingoo GmbH is sole representative of Babylon Ltd. in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Benelux countries

April 13, 2010, Munich, Germany. Babylon Ltd., a world leading provider of language solutions and Alingoo GmbH agreed on close cooperation. Effective immediately the newly formed Alingoo GmbH, headquartered in Munich, is the official and sole representative of Babylon Ltd. in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Benelux countries. Alingoo will primarily serve corporate clients and retailers in these regions and focus on language and knowledge solutions in close cooperation with the manufacturer.

Alingoo GmbH started its operation at the beginning of 2010 and the team was recruited mainly from former employees of Babylon’s branch in Munich. The founder and majority shareholder of Alingoo is Reinhard Dobelmann, who established Babylon’s German branch back in 2001. Since then, Dobelmann holds shares in Babylon Ltd.

Jörg Wunderer, former branch manager, and Robert Heuss, former Sales Manager of Babylon GmbH act as managing directors in the new company Alingoo GmbH. Alingoo wishes to ensure a solid foundation for its corporate customers and channel business in CE and contribute to the success of Babylon.
